Homeopathy
Homeopathy (also spelt homoeopathy) is a gentle non-invasive treatment without side effects. Suitable from birth, through all stages of life. The homeopath takes into account the individuality of each patient, prescribing a remedy to suit both the patient and his or her condition. Most patients seek advice for chronic complaints; here constitutional treatment is advised. Allow up to one and a half hours for a first consultation, and approximately 45 minutes for a follow up, to assess progress, this is usually booked four weeks ahead. Examples of conditions treated are, migraine, asthma, eczema, psoriasis, arthritis, digestive disorders, PMT and menopausal problems, depression, insomnia, and for babies and children, colic, skin conditions, respiratory problems, glue ear, behavioural problems, nightmares, and bedwetting may all respond to homeopathy. Homeopathy can also be used successfully in first-aid situations, e.g. Injury, trauma, shock, burns, insect bites, coughs, colds, pre and post operation.
Jeanne Harris is an experienced homeopath, now in her 20th year of practise. Jeanne's interest and passion for homeopathy began in the 1980's when she saw the benefits of homeopathic treatment for her own family. She studied with the Devon School of homeopathy from 1984, starting her own practice in Tiverton in 1987. In 1989 she was accepted as a Registered Member of the Society of Homeopaths, and began a second practice in Barnstaple in 1991.
